Zidane Tribal from Final Fantasy IX in his trance state. Final Fantasy IX is my favorite Final Fantasy, and Zidane is just one of my favorite characters in general, not to mention super-fun to draw!

one: I have to say I love this pic very much, I love the coloring most of all. and (considering Zidane is a pain in the ass to draw good) its by far outstanding.
two: I really like how you tried and captured emotion in his eyes, most of what I see has not the strength of emotion looking to why he was in trance to begin with.
three, out of all Final Fantasies of the series *I've done 'em all* this is without a doubt my absolute favorite. ^^

Wow, thank you so much! Final Fantasy IX is my all time favorite too, which is why I spend a lot of time making sure it looks exactly the way I want it because I hold the title so dearly (it was also my first Final Fantasy). I've replayed the game at least twice after I drew this, so I'm happy to say I'm still an avid fan of it. I'm happy to hear somebody taking such notice into the coloring and expression. Makes it all worth it! :D

I love Zidane & FF9 too. I fell in love with both last year when I found an actual copy of FF9 by accident. Zidane kinda looks Edward Elric in this picture.

Oh, lucky! Copies of the game are hard to come by nowadays... Aaaand I can see the resemblance now, he kinda DOES look like Ed from Fullmetal!

Yeah, it is hard to find copies of the game. I was really lucky to find a copy of FF7 along with the copy of FF9 at the same time. Also, Ed Elric & Zidane have the same Japanese voice actor if I remember correctly.

Similar features, hairstyles, and voices! Not to mention they both run under the same company, Square Enix. They really do have a lot in common! Thankfully, I've kept my copy safe and in good quality all these years so that I wouldn't have to worry about looking for another one. Copies online are very expensive...
